The surgery at Rush University Medical Center revealed a clean avulsion of the tendon off the bone with little or no muscle damage

“Surgery could not have gone any better,” Dr. Tony Romeo said in a statement. “We were very pleased with the results and are hopeful that Jake will be ready by the start of spring training 2011.”

Dr. Anthony A. Romeo was the overwhelming choice by Dr. James Andrews and a host of other doctors to perform this surgery.

The surgery will be performed this Wednesday, July 14, by Dr. Romeo at Rush University Hospital in Oak Park.
