Sheri Shindelar MS, PA-C – Physician Assistant
Sheri has been apart of Midwest orthopedics since October 2005, bringing with her an extensive amount of both clinical and surgical experience. She is a 1999 graduate of the University of Iowa Physician Assistant program where she received her Master’s degree in Medical Science/Physician assistant studies. Thereafter, she relocated to the Chicagoland area to undergo a one year post-graduate residency in orthopedics at a major trauma center. This training program included didactic, clinical and surgical experience in all orthopedic subspecialities—sports medicine, total joint arthroplasty, trauma, spine, hand, foot/ankle and ER fracture care.
Post-residency, she accepted a position with a multi-specialty private practice working for two orthopedic surgeons specializing in sports medicine and joint replacement for over 6 years. This has brought her to her current position with Dr. Anthony Romeo, a world renown shoulder/elbow specialist at Midwest Orthopedics. Her primary responsibilities include surgical first assist, patient evaluation, education , and treatment and diagnostic interpretation.
